Cebu’s BBQ Heaven:
Larsian sa Fuente
Be prepared to choke yourself with BBQ'd pork, chicken, and seafood! Larsian is a bazaar of eateries that's the perfect place to experience Cebu's best barbecue.
Larsian BBQ Food Park entrance.
Don’t expect a fancy restaurant but a circle of small eateries where different vendors hawk their barbecues.
Located at Fuente Osmeña in Cebu City, Larsian is very accessible. If you've experienced Manila's Dampa, where you get to pick your food and have it cooked by the resto, then Larsian is like that.
The hardest part is choosing where to sit, as you’ll find dozens of stalls inside.
The place is frequented by locals and tourists alike. It's open 24 hours, but most of the stalls set up shop between 10 AM to 2 AM. Larsian is usually crowded at night.
Chorizo de cebu, chicken, squid, bangus, chicken gizzards…and many more.
No spoon and fork here, but they'll give you a disposable plastic glove to use. Not that hygienic, yes, but it’s part of the barbecue experience.
Nannah getting a piece of everything for our dinner.
A must-try is the Chorizo de Cebu; you’ll forget your name once you've tasted it. Rice is served “puso”-style, wrapped bun-like in leaves.
Ready to be grilled.
Aside from their famed chorizo (longganiza), you can choose from a variety of grilled food: chicken, pork, fish, squid…you name it.
The common grill area.
The food is very affordable. Tip: if you’re with a large group, you can haggle with the price, and ask for discounts and freebies such as unlimited soup and softdrinks.
Not so tempting to look at, but wait ‘til you taste it; you’ll be asking for more.
When in Cebu, it's a no-brainer: enjoy a pig-out dinner at Larsian.
Chicken barbecue, kinda burnt, but it doesn’t matter!
