But there is a good news for budget travelers because most of the beach resorts in Mactan Island offer day tours. Hence, one can still enjoy the amenities of these luxury resorts by availing their day tours. Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort is one of the high-end beach resorts in Mactan. It���s located at Buyong Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City and is only 15 minutes away from Cebu International Airport.

         A day tour in the resort gives you the privilege to use the resort���s white-sand beach and three huge swimming pools from 8:00am-5:00pm. So make sure to come here early so you can enjoy a full day in the resort. It took 45 mins. by taxi from our pension house in Cebu City to the beach resort. We arrived here at around 10am and we proceeded to the front desk to pay for our day tours. The resort accepts cash and all major type of credit cards. After paying our day pass, the receptionist gave us a map of the entire beach resort. We went inside right away because I was so excited to see the place. The staffs were friendly and they greeted us with a warm smile. We headed to the beach first. I have heard that Maribago Bluewater has one of the best white sand beaches in Mactan Island and I was fascinated when I saw the beach.

      The beach looks clean though and well-maintained. There are also lots of beach chairs for you to sit on and relax. Most of the guests that we saw in the resort were Koreans and Western tourists.
