저의 맨투맨 튜터의 초대로 아들 돌잔치에 참석했습니다.

돌잔치는 튜터의 집에서 하게 되어 저희는 친분이 있는

튜터와 친구들과 함께 지프니를 타고 튜터의 집으로 찾아갔습니다.

저와 친구들은 돌잔치 선물을 고르느라 반나절을 돌아다닌 상태라 조금? 피곤했지만,

처음으로 초대 받은 것이라 긴장되고 궁금했습니다.

그리고 필리핀의 돌잔치가 궁금해지기 시작했구요.

도착하니 뷔페처럼 맛있는 음식들이 준비되어 있었고

주인공인 아이의 플래카드와 케이크가 눈에 보였습니다.

여기까진 우리나라와 비슷하지만, 돌잡이 같은 건 찾아볼 수 없었습니다.

그렇지만 이 날은 동네 아이들, 친척 아이들과 같은 어린아이들을 위해

많은 과자 종류와 어린이 용품을 전달해 주는 어린이날과 같이 느껴졌습니다.

그럼과 동시에 필리핀 사람들의 주거형태,

가족관계와 같은 새로 접한 문화에 신기한 하루였습니다.
