The B'laan tribes inhabit the southern part of Saranggani in South Cotabato and GenSan. The natives celebrates with a Kalilang, using unique traditions that have withstood time. In this showcase, the B'laan portray the Almugan bird's cry a as good omen for the planting and harvest seasons. They depict the men's bamboo pakupak, in rhythmic synergy with the women's sloong and bukag. Offerings called Butne are given to the Adwata for help against pestilence. At harvest time, the natives gather for the Mimodoman in thanksgiving

KALILANGAN FESTIVAL
February 27 / General Santos City (1 hour 45 minutes from Manila by air)
Celebrates the "friendly co-existence with all the people of General Santos City". Activities include agro-industrial trade fair, cultural presentation, culinary arts contest, Pagana, Kulintangan, ethnic musical instrument competition and Kidig-Kidig sa Dalan.

The Kalilangan Festival is the biggest festival in General Santos. It got its name from the root word “kalilang,” which means celebration or commemoration in Maguindanaoan dialect. Kalilangan itself means festival, feastivity or jubilee. The highlights of the Kalilangan Festival 2010 is on February 25 – 27.
