at swanky Crossroads, Banilad. The “it” place of the

 self-proclaimed high society of Cebu, La Marea is as

impressive as its reputation. Its array of imaginative cakes

 and pastries is not just affordable, but to be confounded

is bliss. You really can’t do any wrong. They are not just

desserts or coffee but they have excellent service and

Dinner started out with the classic chips and salsa. The chips

 were thick and the salsa was hearty. It was on the mild

side so I kicked it up with the hot sauces available. Each

 table had 5 bottles of different hot sauces. I was

impressed. Not one brand was left out (except Sriracha

 but it's a Mexican joint so I shouldn't expect it here).
