This is a filipino dessert similar to Tiramisu (Italian: Tiramisù ) which is one of the most popular Italian desserts. It is made of savoiardi (lady fingers) dipped in coffee and mascarpone cream. But instead of coffee, mango float cookies or crackers are dipped or poured with milk and cream and covered with sliced sweet mangoes.

 


 

  

 

Tiramisu is from Italian and means "pick me up" (Tirami su) but can be translated figuratively as "make me less sad/happier".wikipedia

Mango Float or others may call it Refrigerator Cake and Sandstorm Cake.  It is one of the favorite desserts of Filipinos since mangoes in our country is everywhere. 

  

  

The best mangoes come from Guimaras Island and Pangasinan.  It has been exported around the world so, i think our mangoes here is very popular.

  


 

  

  

This is probably one of the very few recipes that would make everyone in our house go gaga over this treat! It's simple, very easy to do and it's a blockbuster hit!

  



Ingredients:

  

 


M.Y. San Graham Crackers
1 250ml condensed milk (make it 1 and 1/2 if you like it really sweet)
2 250ml all purpose cream
3 ripe mangoes

  

 



 


  

Procedure:


 

1. Slice mangoes according to your desired "design"
2. Mix the cream and condensed milk together (for the cream, follow package instruction - they should be chilled to get that thick consistency)
3. Put the graham at the bottom of the dish evenly
4. Pour the condensed milk and cream mixture on top
5. Lay the sliced mangoes
6. Repeat the same process up to the 3rd layer
7. Sprinkle crushed grahams
8. Chill and serve cold
