오늘은 수업관련해서 연수일기를 작성하겠습니다.

오늘 수업에서는 AGE와 AGING에관한 ENGLISH IDIOM에 대해서 배웠습니다.

아래는 IDIOM과 IDIOM을사용한 예문들입니다.

*Act your age

뜻:나이답게 행동해라

=This is a phrase that you use to tellsomeone to act in way that is “appropriate” for his or her age.

Ex) when grandpa brought home his new redsports car, grandma shouted “act your age” so loud that the house shock.

*A senior moment

뜻:깜빡깜빡하다

=A senior moment is a humorous expressionthat refers to a moment of a forgetfulness or confusion.

Ex) when it was my turn to speak. I forgotwhat I wanted to say. What perfect timing for a senior moment!

*No spring chicken

뜻:더 이상 어리지 않다.

=Someone who is no spring chicken is notyoung anymore.

Ex) I don’t know exactly how old Fred is,but one thing is for sure – he is no spring chicken.
