정말 중요한 내용이라고 생각한다.
교재는 처음 시작할 때 "to" 부정사를 사용한 한 편의 짧을 글을 보여주고, 어떻게 사용하는지를 자연스레 이해하도록 유도한다.
주로 to 부정사를 사용하는 것은 목적에 대하여 설명할 때 사용한다.
You can use it to send instant pictures home to your family. You can use it to call your friends. But a camera phone is so much more than just a camera plus phone! When the first model came out in 2000, some people(like me) thought, "Why do I need it?" Now, millions of people around the world ask, "How did I live without one?"
Megan uses hers to get instant advice on shopping trips. " If I'm shopping for a new sweater, and my friends aren't with me, I take a few pictures, send them, and ask, "which one?"

- to call : 전화하기 위하여
- to get : 얻기 위하여
카메라 폰을 사용해서 즉석으로 사진을 당신 가족에서 보낼 수 있다. 카메라 폰을 사용해서 친구에서 전화를 할 수 있다. 그러나 카메라 폰은 카메라에 핸드폰 기능이 추가된 것이다. 2000년에 최초로 모델이 출시되었을때 몇 몇 사람들은 생각했다. "왜 필요하지?"
현재는 전세계 100만명의 사람들이 말한다. "이것 없으면 어떻게 살지?"
Megan 자신의 폰에서 여행관련된 정보를 즉석해서 얻는다. 새로운 스웨터를 구입할 때 나의 친구가 옆에 없다면 사진을 찍고 그들에게 사진을 보낸 후 물어보면 된다. "어느 것이 괜찮아?"
Grammar Notes
1. Use an Infinitives ( to+ base form of verb) to explain the purpose of an action. It often answers the question Why?
A : Why did you go to the mall?
B : I went there to buy a new camera phone.
a. In converation, you can answer the question Why? with an incomplete sentence beginning with to
A : Why did you go to the mall?
B : To buy a new camera phone.
2. You can also use the longer form in order to + base form of verb to explain a purpose.
- I bought my first camera phone in order to send instant phone.
3. use in order not to + base form of verb to explain a negative purpose.
- Reporters use camera phones in order not to miss deadline.
